ScHoolboy Q Opens Up During 'CrasH Talk' Conversation With Charlamagne Tha God

The TDE rapper gets personal in the interview.

ScHoolboy Q's newest album CrasH Talk dropped last month, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Following its release, Q did his most personal interview yet with Charlamagne Tha God.

During the one-on-one, ScHoolboy Q opens up about the process of creating CrasH Talk in the aftermath of his previous album, Blank Face LP, as well as scrapping three albums beforehand, fighting depression, and overcoming his drug habits.

For the first time ever, Q also gets personal about the loss of his close friend, Mac Miller. After the Pittsburgh rapper's suddent passing last September, ScHoolboy Q pushed back CrasH Talk's initial release in an effort to grieve. He relives his last moments with Mac reminicing on a Facetime call. "Losing a friend to gangbangin' is way different than losing a friend that's like an innocent little kid that's just like super pure," he says. "You expect it [with gangbanging], it comes with it, but this was like wow."
