Bas and J.I.D Link Up To Drop Their New Single, "Fried Rice"

The stand-alone track is the first collaboration featuring only the Dreamville duo.

Fresh from both of their album tours, Bas and J.I.D have paired up to give us their collaboration, "Fried Rice"

After numerous tweets from Bas regarding the amount of unused material from his 2018 project, Milky Way, as well as dodging the relentless question, "When is ROTD3 dropping?", the Parisian rapper finally decided to throw his fans a bone and announced the release of the collab track with fellow Dreamville artist, J.I.D.

The announcement was first hidden in a Instagram live session of unreleased music with fans who could tune in early last month. Bas challenged his fans while on live to email him at and he'd reply back to a few with the new single, "Fried Rice" featuring the East Atlanta rapper.

Fans throughout the rest of May tweeted fried rice box emojis in efforts to recieve the track, until at the first of the month when Bas tweeted, "In observance of World Milk Day, I'm releaseing new [milk emoji] on 6/5." J.I.D also took time out from his tour to provide a countdown on Twitter, two hours before the release.

Bas and J.I.D will be featured on the Dreamville compilation album, Revenge of the Dreamers 3, set to drop soon. Stream Bas' Milky Way and J.I.D's DiCaprio 2 now available on all platforms until then.
